I have been working on my Book on the family who served in the Civil War. Currently I have 148 family members who served in the Civil War from Pittsylvania, Franklin, Henry Counties. I am still searching for others who I am certain that served as well from this area that are connected to the family. I have over 26,000 names in my family tree now, and it grows weekly with more research. I also do Civil War Reenactments, and have been in 28 different reenactments and memorial services so far this year. If anyone is interested in Civil War relatives who served from Pittsylvania County and surrounding areas I can probally assist you. My files are too large at this time to transfer them, but I will be glad to answer any specific questions on a one on one basis. If you have ancestors who served in the Civil War, I will be glad to provide information if you wish to honor your ancestors by joining the Sons of Confederate Veterans or Daughters of the Confederacy.
