Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated. I have a few documents with her on them I can share with you. Do you believe the story about her being the granddaughter the great Chief? My father was raised in the same area as she and Randolf settled. The old home place is what they call it and the owners believe charity is buried on top of one of their hill sides way past the old family cemetery. Randolf is buried supposedly along side of the road. We could not find his grave.
Hello all--- I'm trying to take my Atkins line back a step (or two)... My grandmother was Alma May Atkins b. 1900 Hanover Co., VA who married in 1919 Aubrey Gilman Tyler Her father was Thomas Preston Atkins b. King William Co, VA married to Melissa Newell Melton of Hanover Co, VA Thomas' father was Dudley Atkins of King William Co, VA This is basically all I have on this Atkins line & would like to know if anyone has any connections to the Atkins of the King William Co,VA area. I have been told that this line goes back to Native American Indian lineage and I may have some problems actually going any further back than this, but I'm not giving up hope. Thanks for any assistance/information and Happy New Year to all! Sheri T. Millikin
