I am searching for a William Adkins who was born in VA after 1750. He moved to Caswell Co NC. Only one child is known, Mildred C. Adkins, born about 1785 in Caswell Co. Mildred married Thomas Smith of Caswell Co and moved to Bledsoe Co TN. William Adkins probably remained in NC. He appears in the 1790 and 1810 census. What happened to William? Who was his wife?
