Adkins Brooklyn, Ohio -- Eric E. Adkins, 50, of Brooklyn, Ohio, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at University Hospital, Cleveland, following a brief illness. He was born Aug. 20, 1951, in Lorain. He was a 1969 graduate of Lorain High School and attended Lorain County Community College. He had lived in Brooklyn for the past six years. He was a well-known violinist and was a member of the All Ohio State Orchestra. He had been a member of the former Euclid Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Heather Adkins of Jim Thorpe, Pa.; mother, Mary (nee Hensley) Adkins of Lorain; sisters Denise Kokai of Elyria and Alicia Watkins of Westminister, Md., and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Delmas Adkins, in 1999. Friends may call Monday 6 to 9 p.m. at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. Fifth St., Lorain, where services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Willis Hall, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.
