Cawthon-Adkins, 75 Lorain - Ella C. Cawthon-Adkins (nee Bee), 75, of Lorain, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at Leboda Care Home, Elyria, following a lengthy illness. She was born Feb. 9, 1926, in Sunnyside, W.Va., and had lived in Lorain for 52 years. She graduated from Doddridge County High School in West Virginia in 1946. Mrs. Adkins had been active in the Broadway Assembly Church, Lorain. She served as a judge for the Lorain County Board of Elections. Survivors include her husband Azil Adkins of Lorain; son, Michael E. Cawthon of Lorain; and two grandsons and two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael D. Cawthon, in 1980; parents, Thomas and Nora (nee Bee) Sells; brothers Ernest Bee and Joe Sells; and a granddaughter in infancy. Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Schwartz, Spence and Boyer Home For Funerals, 1124 W. Fifth St., Lorain, where services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Robert Leboda will officiate. Burial will! be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
