Hello, What a pleasant surprise to find this web site. I would love to find out more about my ancestry and hope that others here may have bits and pieces that will help to fill in the gaps in my family tree. My fathers name is/was Norman Ray Adkins and I think he was from either the Hope or Portsmouth area of Ohio. I do not know his mother or fathers name. He has/had at least two brothers Marshall and Stanley and possibly sisters. I think Norman served in the Marine Corp. in either Camp LeJeune or Parris Island, thought this is just hearsay and I have no dates for this. He had a son named Norman Ray Adkins, Jr. with a woman he did not marry, possibly in Ohio. I have no idea how Norman met my mother as she was from the Tilton, NH area. My mothers name was Sylvia Routhier. They married and had four children together. Carla Lee 1954, Priscilla Jean 1956, Gregory Scott 1958 and Stephanie Ann 1960. Norman left while my Mom was pregnant with Stephanie. I'm assuming they divorced sometime later, maybe in 1961. Norman then went on to marry a woman named Naomi, also in the NH area. They had three children together...Todd, Stanley and Wendy. I have no further information on them or dates. After leaving her, I know he did marry and have at least one other child with a woman in Colorado. I heard recently that he was deceased, I'm not positive about this information. Anyway, I would greatly appreciate any information that will help me fill in the missing pieces and possibly get in touch with long lost relatives. Thanks ahead of time...
