My great grandmother Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" ADKINS/ATKINS was born in Williamson Co, TX on November 15, 1879. She is listed in the census below as Mollie. 1880 Federal Census, Ellis County, Texas: p. 448: #304/287: Robert ADKINS 24 TX LA LA E. 24 TX GA GA wife James 2 TX TX TX son Mollie 7/12 TX TX TX daughter (born January) What is strange, is that on every census including the one below and on her parents' marriage license, her father's name is listed as Robert or Robert S ADKINS. He was never called anything but Tom all his life according to his grandaughter who is still alive at 99 years old. On Mary Elizabeth ADKINS' death certificate in Oklahoma City OK in 1955, it lists her father's name as Tom ADKINS. Can anyone help with this family. The name in legal documents unfortunately was spelled both ADKINS/ATKINS.
