ADKINS, Leather craftsman Robert L. Adkins, a 49-year resident of San Bernardino, died of cancer Monday at his home. He was 65. A native of Duluth, Minn., Adkins was a World War II veteran and a civil service employee for 25 years. He was a leather craftsman and a member of Loveland Christian Center in Fontana. Survivors include his wife, May, sons, Robert Jr., Tony, Buzz, Thomas Cooper, David Cooper and Paul Miller, daughters Elizabeth Goodloe and Sheila Tatum, and 21 grandchildren, all of San Bernardino; and a sister, Marjorie Waller of Detroit. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Delman Heights Foursquare Church, 1890 W. 30th St., San Bernardino. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mark B. Shaw Mortuary, 1525 N. Waterman Ave., San Bernardino.
