Do you (or anyone) know who the Brumfield brothers are, where they are from, etc... I have Adkins, Brumfields in my line, on two different sides and there are 'rumors' of us being related to the Hatfields and McCoys, but I have found no proof as to what line of Hatfields or McCoys. >From what I was told by my family one was John Brumfield, but I do not remember who the other brother was. They were from Logan County, West Virginia. I was always told that my family was related to the Hatfields, but I have been unable to find where that connection is as of yet. Later, John Brumfield was stabbed to death. There was a song written about John Brumfield and if I can remember where I put it, I will pass it on. Maybe someone else out there will have a copy of it.
