There is a Joshua in the family, too, I believe. Also a Joseph. I am getting some conflicting information, though. The family lived mostly in the Campbell Co., TN - Whitley Co., KY area. Does this sound like your family? If so, I wonder if you can help? Thanks much!

Spouse: Rebecca NEWBY Born ca 1815, Died bef 1867 (Alex remarries in 1867 to Susan B. HANCOCK. His Father: William ADKINS (-1841) was married to a Sara "Sally" (ca1770-1860). I am looking for information about his father William ADKINS ... I am thinking that he may have moved on to KY?? Guessing at this point. Any assistance you can offer, would be appreciated!

    3. My gr grandfather, Benjamin Colledge Adkins, married to Eliza Mary Evans, came to New Orleans in 1873, settled in Utica, Hinds Co, Mississippi. Have not found any connection to other Adkins he might be related to Ben was born in 1844 in Coventry, St Johns and St Michaels, County of Warwick.. . Anyone every hear of him? I have info on his Adkins ancestors in Warwick. Mary in Oklahoma

It's actually Cathy Neal If this is your Sparrell you should find the info usefull. Sparrell Adkins, born circa 1842 in Franklin Co., VA married Leticia Lovell 22 Sep, 1865 after serving in the Confederate Army. His parents were David Adkins and Polly "?". He and Leticia had 6 children: Abigail, Eliza Jane ( my ggrandmother), Rosanne, Robert, Samuel, and Martha. Eliza Jane married a "Pete" Adkins ( from her death certificate) and died 2 Jan.,1955. They had 6 children: Mary Elizabeth, Percy, Prince Ann (my grandmother), Ida Mae, Kernel, and Arthur Lee. Prince Ann married James A. Haley of Pulaski Co. Any info on this line would be greatly appreciated.
