You can do this at familytreedna.com or there are other companies who do this too. If you know your line back a long way you may think this is unnecessary but consider those of us who don't have such a long line. You may find some new relatives and we may knock down that brick wall we have been trying to overcome. There will probably be others who will be glad to share some of the cost with you. I have 2 Adkins lines and have found several people who match both of them, but like me, we just know we are related but not how. Those of you who have more complete information could help and you might find some people you are proud to call relatives.

Below is information I received this weekend from the Lincoln County, WV Genealogical Society: On Apr 22, 2006 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, there will be a genealogy workshop at the Hamlin Public Library (7999 Lynn Ave, Hamlin, WV 25523 304-824-5481). Participants at this workshop will have access to the Lincoln County Genealogical Society's collection including the new information donated by Dortha Hasen's family. Computer access, microfilm, and the copier will be available also--copies will be at a reduced rate thanks to the Hamlin Public Library. Hi, The Family Tree DNA is where the Adkins / Atkins DNA project is located. I only had the 12 marker test performed, but I do intend to upgrade to the 37 marker test.
