My grandfather, Howard Wesley Adkins, was one of her sons. The 1920 Census for Cincinnati, OH shows 4 children, including my grandfather. Other 3 children: Estella, Florence and Geneva. My grandfather, Howard Wesley Adkins, was born on 11/05/15 in Cincinnati, Ohio. It shows his dad, Charles Adkins as being from Mexico, Missouri and it shows his mom, Edith Adkins, as being from Milan, Indiana. My grandfather's birth certificate has Edith Adkins maiden name as being McKitrich or McKitrick. Can't quite make out the last letter. My grandfather's sister, Estella, had an Affidavit correction to his birth certificate about his middle name, but she put down their mother's maiden name as Acres. I'm looking for any information on EDITH MCKITRICH, which might be EDITH MCKITRICK or EDITH ACRES.

Cheryl, I think this is my ATKINS line, especially if Charles H. was killed during the battle of Stones River/Murfreesboro during the Civil War. He died on or about January 10, 1863. I don't have anything but would be interested in anything you have. I don't have any documentation on that though, so it's possibly wrong. I can tell you alot about King and Sereena's descendents though.

Another lister told me about fake emails purporting to be from rootsweb security site. Do Not Open any attachments or visit the link as viruses are included! I checked the help desk to see what they had on the fake mail/virus issue. They are aware of it and warn that if you get mail, supposedly from the "Rootsweb Abuse Department" telling you to confirm your email by clicking on a link, just delete it. DO NOT click the link. If you do click on the link it will send you to an infected website.
