I was always told that my family was related to the Hatfields, but I have been unable to find where that connection is as of yet. Later, John Brumfield was stabbed to death. There was a song written about John Brumfield and if I can remember where I put it, I will pass it on. Maybe someone else out there will have a copy of it. I have a marriage certificate from May Adkins (m1919 to Afred Burton) that names Jim Adkins as her father. I found the cemetery that Maggie Adkins/Burgess is burried in and it names Angeline Gibson and James C. Adkins as her parents and I found in the 1910 Mt. Pisgah Wayne Co., KY census Adeline, Maggie, May and Wannie living together and it says Adeline is a widow and had 7 children but only 3 living. I know they were mixed up in the Hatfield/McCoy thing (don't know what that means). The only thing I know for sure is that Maggie, May and Wannie were sisters (I'm May's great grand daughter). These 3 sisters were birn between 1892 and1898. There mother was alot older when she had them the picture is of the three sisters and their mother (Adeline or Angeline) cant read the back of the photo very well.
