    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/AJ.2ADIB/2619.1.1 Message Board Post: My great great grandfather was James C. Adkins born 1856 married Adaline or Angeline ? about 1880. My great grandmother and my grandmother were raised in Mt. Pisgah, Wayne Co. KY. James Adkins died before 1910 leaving a wife and 3 daughters so there weren't many fairy tails in the stories I was told. I know that my g-g-grandmother saw one of her husbands murdered, something to do with the Hatfield / McCoy feuds. I really wish I had paid more attention to those "far fetched" stories my grandmother told but I thought she was exagerating. Turns out she may not have been! I was told of shootings on the court house steps and the men in family forcing the 3 young daughters to marry when they were quite young, etc. I have had little luck tracing James C. Adkins but have figured out most the rest of the Adkins lines in my search. If I can help let me know. And if you run into a James C. Adkins let me know.
