Jasmine was born Friday, Nov. 16, 2001 at 12:31 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 20 inches long. Catherine's parents were Jacob Straley & Susan Barbor who emigrated in 1758 from Frankfort, Germany. Catherine & William had their son Straley in Virginia, then moved to Kentucky, where they lived at Little Sandy in Morgan County, KY. I have more on land grants and children of the son Straley, but I'm uncertain whether Caswell, Harrison & Joseph Adkins are Straley's brothers or other kin. They all received land grants too in the 1830s & 1840s. Please help with what info you can provide and let me know if you want more Catherine Straley family info. Cathy

Son Straley was born about 1805 in VA & then they moved to Little Sandy, KY (Morgan County). Straley married Andocia Day & they had about 10 children. (Some of the dates I have don't quite jive, so there may be some error here; would appreciate help if others have more details.) I have tons of info on the Straley family of Virginia & will share.
