Thank you for the reply. I have little to add, but most willing to share. My gfather, William Elizabeth Atkins was born 29 Nov.1870 in Tex. His mother died at his birth, so he was named for his father and his Mother. I am assuming he might have been the first child, but I can go no furthur without a middle initial or name for Wm and a surname for Elizabeth. Wm may have eventually died in Ark and there is other family with a 2nd marriage. we have no record of. W.E. may have been born in or near Greenville, Tx. and my uncle said his aunt may have had the name of Robinson. The aunt cared for him for some time after his mother's death. Were they born before they married, were they orphaned nieces and nephews from a sibling and Robert and Rosannah adopted them, were they either his or hers from a prior marriage.
