    3. TO ALL MEMBERS::: We have several new members in the last couple of weeks. List messages seem to have slowed so now would be a good time for everyone to let each other know of our information needs and perhaps we can help each other. Some mail lists discourage a Roll Call because it can create several messages for everyone. I believe if we want to share information, we must talk to each other regularly, and a posting now is appropriate. For information, we have 72 members, with a few belonging to both the list and digest version. I encourage you to list your lineage, your general needs, and anything else of genealogical value in the Adamson Family. I manage several county lists that are also very small. Recently on one list, I suggested a Roll Call and a member sent me a personal message stating she was had some information but thought she really didn't know enough to inform the list. I explained to her that nobody could help if she wasn't going to inform the list of what she knew and what she was looking for. Also her information, even sparse might help some other member. After a couple of emails pleading with her, she posted a very simple statement of what she knew and needed, and within a day or two, the list was inundated with several messages of information that she was searching for. Her information helped one gentlemen in his search and she found three distant cousins that belonged to the list. Also in her message she stated that she had several high school yearbooks in one of the local towns that her mother had given her and she would / do lookups for anybody. The list is currently very active and she is looking up information for everyone. So my message is simple, Lets tell each other what we have and what we need!!! Jerry, List Manager So Here Is My Posting: My effort is to collect ALL ADAMSON INFORMATION. I have expanded my search efforts in the last year to include all states and Adamson Branches. I am currently extracting ADAMSON families from the 1880 soundex for all states. I have completed almost one half of the states and should finish this winter. A member friend in Tacoma WA has volunteered to proof read what I had completed so those records will be available before winter. I also collect photographs of Adamson Tombstones. See my web page at: http://www.rectec.net/users/jadamson/ and contact me if you have any you are willing to share.
