    1. Re: [ADAMSON-L] Mystery in Brown Co. Ohio
    2. Hi Jerry This past Thursday my husband asked me if there was a cemetery that I would like to visit. I answered that I would decide in a few minutes just which one I would most like to visit. I hurriedly decided on the Woods Cemetery. I was hoping to clear up the Mystery in Brown County, OH. As luck would have it the stone of James Adamson was broken. We left the cemetery with more questions than answers. Facts: Gracy and her son Quincy are on the same stone. James beside Thomas-looked like a much older stone. Another researcher (data in Adamson Folder in Gen. Soc.) stated the Cemetery Inscriptions Book data: 30y 1m 17d was in error and that it should be 80y 1m 17d. This was my theory also. In fact I actually thought I saw 80 on the tombstone. If that theory were in fact true, then Quincy, Gracy and James would have all died between 1881 and 1884. I will have check the death records book in the court house, this may provide the answers. If you have the census data already worked out I would appreciate having that info. As I recall you had James missing then showing up again in the 1880 census. Was that a state listing or Brown County listing? Hoping to resolve this soon. Genny
