I would like to introduce you to one of the finest people and the most thorough genealogical researcher I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Dr. Jim Adamson. I have seen him stand (no chairs available) doing research in the Mason County KY courthouse, for hours on end, never taking ANY kind of break. He and his wife, Donna, traveled to every one of the counties his (and my) ancestors had lived and searched out the information. He identified the land they had owned, the rivers they had crossed or rafted down, always recording his data (how many of us can say that?). Being a Pathologist, he insisted on covering every minute detail, sometimes more than once. He was looking forward to his retirement, when he could spend more time on the research. Unfortunately, he passed away 6 years ago, before he was old enough to retire. What he brought to the Adamson family genealogy was accurate information. Would that I could do as much for the family history books. He was my second cousin, a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a very good man. I wasn't privileged to know him long enough. I am so very grateful to Jim and Donna for all they have done for us. And Donna is continuing in his footsteps, researching and sharing. Thanks Donna! Evelyn Young
