    3. In early 1780's, Thomas Adamson Sr. moved to Southwestern Pennsylvania (then, Washington Co., now Greene County) with his Four Sons, Joseph, John, James and Thomas Jr. Records indicate that in 1784 the Tax roll for Cumberland Twp. had Thomas ( Sr or Jr ???), John, and Joseph. No James or other Thomas. I think Thomas Jr. got married sometime during the year. In 1788, Thomas Jr was in Morgan Twp Tax List, John and Joseph in Cumberland Twp. Tax List But, . No Thomas Sr or James. James got married in 1789 and appears in Cumberland Twp Tax List in 1793. Thomas Sr died in Feb 1790. I have always wondered why Thomas Sr. didn't appear on this 1788 tax list. Any ideas? -- Jerry F.
