    1. [ADAMSON-L] Re: John Adamson & Ann Skute

    3. Denisse, Thanks for this info. Its interesting, I have seen the name spelled about 3 different ways. Skuce, Skew, Skute. My line also goes from Thomas Jr then to James Adamson/Margaret Smith to Thomas Adamson/Minervia Williams to Benjamin Adamson/Elizabeth Wood to James Adamson/Axie Adell Mannen who were my grandparents. With 3 Thomas's and 2 James's in my ancestry I think it's interesting that we named our two sons James and Thomas. That was way before I knew anything about my Adamson background past my grandfather. I have Thomas Adamson, who was married to Mary Burson and father of our Thomas Jr, as being born in 1717. If John was born in 1702 that makes him a pretty young father, I guess not impossible though. Also we have a Scotsman marrying a Swede, I'll bet that caused a stir. This ancestry thing is addictive, the more you know the more you want to know.
