Ronald, I visited the Adamson Grove cemetery two years ago. I will check my photographs to see if I have a picture of Abraham's grave, if it is marked. The cemetery is not easy to find. It is behind an old farm, Abraham's I believe, on Adamson's Road. It is not marked nor visible from the road. I was given a tour by a lady who used to live in Evan Adamson's old house. She collected a lot of info on the Adamsons and was fascinated by them. Unfortunately, for all the Adamsons who bought land along the road in 1846, very few remain today. As you probably know, the Adamsons are mentioned in the early history of Jasper County. What I have been trying to find, is info on my ggggrandfather, HENRY WYERMAN ADAMSON b. 1810 TN d. 1846 IA. The Jasper Co. history books tell of how he was visiting his "uncle" Abraham (yours I would guess) when he took sick and asked to be buried in the grove behind Abraham's house if he should die, since it was so beautiful. He did die and was the first buried there. Unfortunately, his headstone has disappeared. His wife was Esther (Lamb) and she moved back to Indiana with her children where she is buried in the Nettlecreek Quaker cemetery. I cannot find a recorded connection between Henry and Abraham nor Henry's father. Henry seems to have migrated up to IN from TN where he bought land in 1835 along with Abraham and his brothers. He then moved to IA with them in 1846. Family records indicate his mother's maiden name might have been LUND and she spoke only Danish. If anyone has any additional information on Henry, please let me know. Sharon
