. I am a neophyte at this ancestry thing. I have a cousin who did a lot of research until she ran into a blank wall and now I am trying to crack the wall. I was born and raised in Missouri and stubborn enough to think that I can crack that stone wall. My two cousins, my brother and I are four that came from a Samuel James Adamson; and Diadem Gertrude Freel, who was one of ten children produced by James Knight Adamson; and Malinda Ann Williams, who was one of four children produced by Joseph Adamson; and Rachel Knight. Since James Knight was so prolific and produced a Joseph, a Solomon, an Abraham, a Charles, a Thomas, and our own Samuel James; who deserted his family in the 1920's and '30s; Those guys could have sired an army of Adamsons. Maybe you could be one his theirs. James Knight was born in Ohio, married in Illinois, and died in Nebraska and had kids born in Iowa but mostly in Nebraska. In regard to graves: There are graves in Hamburg, Iowa; Rockport, Missouri; Ridgeway, Missouri; and Mount Moriah, Missouri. Our "blank wall" is somewhere in Nebraska.
