James was born about 1827 in Ohio; maybe Miami or Pickaway County. got married July 2, 1854 in Danville, Vermillion County, Illinois. He was found dead on a road on Oct.20,1898 in Springville, Keya Paha County in Nebraska, as reported by a Jusice of the Peace in McClenn, Nebraska.
