    1. [ADAMSON-L] ADAMSON Military 1915-1942
    2. Hello list... I have been going through some items from my grandfather's trunk and came across some random notes of his military career, while with the U.S. Cavalry on the Texas-Mexican border, 1915-1942. He mentions having served under a Capt. ADAMSON at Brownsville, Texas. I cannot tell if the Captain or my grandfather was the one who suffered from Malaria and Lumbago. Might anyone on the list know... Who this Cavalry Officer might have been and when he was at Brownsville ?

    3. My research has Benjamin coming to Ohio from England about 1800. About 1840-1850, The Family migrated to Southern Iowa, and appears to be many records in Appanoose Co. Iowa. Three of his Grandson's, John Benjamin, Moses Austin, and Noah Lewis moved to and died in Nuckolls County, Nebraska. Another Grandson settled and died in Decatur County, Kansas. Two other grandsons remained in the Appanoose Co., Iowa. I have no records of this family being in Nemaha County, Nebraska ,but welcome any information on those Adamson's also. Jerry F. 1. [ADAMSON-L] William ADAMSON, 1888, Wash, DC
    2. I just discovered that my ggrandfather, Richard Albert Adamson (b. 1860 DC, d. 1927 DC), lived at 206 or 2026 9th St, NW, in Washington, DC in 1888. That was the premises of ADAMSON and HOLMES (William ADAMSON and Charles W. HOLMES) Saloon. Richard Albert Adamson had a brother, William Winford ADAMSON, but the above William was not him. This is the first time I have run across this William ADAMSON and I am hoping he may be a link to Richard Albert and his father Richard H. ADAMSON. So far, I have been unable to determine who the parents and/or siblings of Richard H. ADAMSON (b. abt 1828 MD, d. 1872 DC) were. If anyone knows anything of the above ADAMSON's, I would love to hear from you. Many thanks, Carolyn Travers Alpharetta, GA.
