He and their siblings William "Willie" and Sally "Saddie" Adams all came to Kimshew, California in the late 1860's. Mary Jane's sister Martha I. Adams was living right next door to them in Kimshew with her husband George Miller and their son George. I am currently researching William A. Adams and Mary Davis Adams but have really not had much luck finding William's parents. I am the great granddaughter of Thomas Jefferson through his only son John Quincy Adams. John Quincy married Florence Gertrude Halstead in 1922 here in Sacramento, CA and their last child together before he died in 1935 was my mother, Mary ellen Adams. I am also in contact with Willie's granddaughter Elmeretta Brown who lives in Chico and we are trying to trace William A. Adam's parents. I will see her on January 30th up in Paradise, CA and if I can get any more information, I will add it to my tree.
