These posts go back a few years themselves... I'm just now looking into my family genealogy, and I'm pretty new at this. I saw a post from Steve Adams looking into David Price Adams' parentage, and your reply... Who knows if maybe there's a connection between David Price Adams and the Price family line? I certainly don't. But there were actually two David Price Adams - a father and a son - and the father was the one born in Georgia in 1791; the son was born in NC in 1820. David Price Adams (Sr) married Elisabeth Wood in 1813 in NC, and has a cemetery in Cherokee, NC on land he had owned - it's where he's buried. Unfortunately, the trail goes cold there. It's difficult to find any more information on him, or his origins. There's misinformation about his father being Joshua "Josia" Adams floating around; I haven't found anything to support it, but a few things contradict it. It doesn't look good for anyone from Pitt County, either; Cherokee County, NC is a pretty good dis! tance from there. I'm still in the process of checking the message boards; that's going to take a while, I think. But maybe I'll come across a lead.
