A daughter of the late Archester and Co'Pearl Cousar was born on September 9, 1944 in Dillon [Dillon County], South Carolina. 'Ma Pat' was very active in her church and community. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church where she participated in the Hymn Choir and Usher Board. She loved softball and working tirelessly in her communitiy promoting activities that would enrich the lives of others. A service to remember her life and many accomplishments will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2005, 1:00 PM at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1401 Allen Street with Dr. Gregory Moss officiating. A visitation with the family will begin at 12:00/noon, one hour prior to the service. 'Ma Pat's' survivors are one son James A. (Renee) Cousar, of Richmond, VA; three daughters; Pandora Smith, Pamela Cousar, and Lorna Coursar all of Charlotte; two brothers, Harold Cousar of Jersey City, NJ, and John Wesley Cousar of Hempstead, NY; three sisters, Sue Williams, Long Island, NY; Dora Duncan, Birmingham, AL; Jannie Kinlock, Detroit, MI, Addie Cousar of Jersey City, NJ; eighteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
