Would love to find out if there is anyone on the list related to this Adams line. I have been researching my Adams line that comes from Indiana Pa and not been able to locate any other descendants. My brick wall is Samuel Douglas Adams born February 23, 1811 Indiana County Pa. died April 11, 1887. Married Lydia (Ostrander or Pierce?) who died in 1845 with 2 of their daughters of small pox in Pgh. The only name of the children that we knew was my great great grandmother Ann Jane Adams Allshouse born 20 Nov 1836 Indiana Pa Married Jan 14, 1856 Finley Allshouse (1837 - 1901) Died April 12, 1923 Other children.... Sarah Rebecca Adams b. 22 May 1838 Armstrong, Pa d. 05 Dec 1913 Catherine E. Adams born Oct 31, 1839 married 1860? Arthur Murray. died Oct 26, 1921, George W. Adams b. 16 Jul 1843 Indiana, Pa d. 06 Dec 1861 at Camp Negley Ky. Mary Adams b. 20 Nov 1845 Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pa d. 31 Dec 1845 The other daughter to have died in 1845 with Lydia may have been an Amanda Adams who was buried Allegheny Cemetery Lawrenceville Pa. Laurie, You mention knowing where they are buried.....have you contacted the cemetery 'owner's' or the county court house to see about getting any info. on the family that's buried there? They will (usually) have records of some kind for them. I can't find where Margaret is listed in your info. below, but if you know where she's buried you can get her info from the cemetery as well. This will give you (normally) the funeral home or the individual that took care of their body's & then you can contact the funeral home for the records......they usually have a copy of the Obit notice (if one was sent out) in the files for the person in question.
