I'm searching for a needle in a hay stack 4th great grandparents James Adams no birth or death date from/born Tn. married to an unknown Children: (possibly) Nellie Adams no birth info. died prior to 1909 James Adams no birthdate E. Tn d. after 1850(About 1882) possibly in Mo. married Elizabeth Thompson no birthdate N.C. (possibly 1/2 Cherokee) died after 1850(about 1864) but before 1909 possibly in Mo. Their Children: Martha Malinda Adams b. 1838 Tn. d. 1918 Chelsea, Okla. married Samuel Phariss b. 1824 Tn. died 1872 (I think) Chelsea, Okla. She supposedly drew Bread Money from the Cherokee Tribe in 1872 at Fort Gibson, in Okla. I have from her on, but would like to find more on her back Siblings of Martha's, children of Elizabeth & James Adams: Mary Ann Adams b. 1840 possibly Tn. died after (possibly) 1909 married unknown Williams was living in Urbana, Mo. in 1907 or 1909 George W. Adams b. 1854 d. abt. 1903 no place listed Russell Adams b. 1841 d. abt. 1900 no place listed Jesse N(Newton) Adams b. unknown d. 1905 no place listed. One thing I have noticed in researching this line (at least from Martha & Samuel down to present) is that they named their children after their family/relatives so I am wondering if George, Russell & Jesse aren't possible siblings of their grandfather James Adams or possibly their great grandfather James Adams. I know that they aren't in the Phariss line, they possibly could be in their grandmother Elizabeth Thompson Adams family, but her siblings were David & James & Father was Thomas. Anyway.......hope to find a cousin sometime. Alli :)
