Hello fellow researchers..... Sorry about the way my census lists looked,,,,,I forget they don't come out the way you write them. The earliest one I am pretty sure is my grandpa's family is the one in Union county 1870. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Mary Adams 40 F W Widow SC SC [Adolphia? age 21 ---not in the house -married Gist Wright about 1876--49 in 1900] Florenz [1852] 19 [she was alive, age 29 in 1880 but consumptive --probably dead b4 1900] Bettie [1855] 15 [ I actually have a picture of her about 1885-1890] Glenn [1857] 13 [Wonder where exactly HE went?] Antonia [1859] 11 [no clue except my Aunt did say-"Annie"- and Henrietta too. Emma [1861] 9 [she married W J Fisher about 1884 d. 1904] Johny [1862] 7 [my grandpa.] Henrietta [1864] 5 [ Wonder where she went--did not appear in 1880 census] I am fairly sure this family only came one time to Florida where my Aunt Edna saw Bettie, Annie ,Henrietta,, and maybe Adolphia. Auntie thought she remembered seeing his mother, who died n 1897 and who "was sort of a pill"....Perhaps already ill and dying ---so the visit MIGHT have been in early 1897 when my Aunt Edna was just 5. I think they were Not on friendly terms with John Q's. wife, [Nana] since she had their "man of the family" with her and they had lost him. There would not have been much communication between them. SPC ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is a family I discovered somewhere that I thought MIGHT be My John Q.s father's....Does anyone have any information on this family especially the son "R B Adams b. abt 1825" or any other brothers of that decade.... They would have been the right age and in the right state at least for my ggrandpa. Chester SC is in Union County I think.
