All were born in England and seem to have immigrated to Canada (possibly as a family) where part of the family stayed and others went to Michigan in the Detroit and Port Huron areas. Feb. 1859 in NY, married Maggie James Arthur – b. 31 Oct. 1861 in Canada, married Helena Rhaesa 1888 in Detroit, d. 13 May 1937 in Detroit, MI Frank Samuel – b. 1863 in NY, married Mary Schleimer, lived adult life in MI and OH, d. 1944 Lincoln – b. 1864/65/66 in MI Lewis (Louis) – b. 1874 in MI Arthur; b. Apr. 1828, married Sarah, lived in Port Huron, St. Clair County, MI, d. after 1900. Children: Sarah S. – b. 1851 in Canada Frederick – b. Feb. 1853 in Canada Martha; b. 1829/30, married Thomas Duke, lived in Springwells Township, Wayne County, MI which is now Dearborn, MI, d. 4 May 1892 in Detroit, MI. Henry; lived in Toronto, Canada. Frank; lived in Toronto, Canada. James; b. abt. 1837, married Sarah Ann, lived in Port Huron, St. Clair County, MI, d. before 1893. Children: William H. – b. Jan. 1860 in MI Fanny – b. 1863 in MI Clara A. – b. 1866 in MI. Martha, Arthur, James and Elizabeth all seem to have come to Michigan around 1855. There is a John Adams, b. 1860 in England, living with Arthur in the 1870 Census. His occupation is a gardener and I question his age if he wasn’t in school. My sources are US Census for Michigan and Ohio for the years 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910 and 1920, Estate papers for Martha Duke, marriage license for James and Helena Powers, and information from Kevin Keely (family of Frank Samuel Powers). My connection is through James and Helena.
