    3. Joyce, and others who responded to my postings. My Grandfather John Quincy Adams was born in Union SC in 1861/62 to a mother named Mary or Millie Ann. Here are the census items I have on his family.. Union County SC 1860 [Maybe?] 1870 Union CountySC 1880 SpartanburgCo SC R N Adams 40 H of ----- Mill ?an 33 Wife Mary Adams 40 F W Widow Ann M.Adams F W W HOH Mary 11 [Adolphia? age 21 married?] [Mrs G Wright Union Cty} Amanda 9 Florence ? 19 Florence 29 [consumptive] Elizabeth 7 Bettie 15>16 Bettie 26 Glenn 6 Glenn 13 ??? Susan 5 Antonia 11>12 Antonia 22 John ? ------ Mirtha 1 Emma 9>10 Emma 22 [Fisher] Johny 7>8 John 21 Henrietta 5 ??? In July 1897 in Landrum Cemetery appears a stone for "Millie Ann Adams w/o Q. B. " [ I'm told ,Ive never seen it myself] "May 8, 1826 - July 15 1897" In the 1900 Census for Landrum , Spartanburg Co appear------- Bettie J.Adams 40 W F Single owns house. [probably inherited her mother's house] ---------------------------------------------- [and next door] Gist W. Wright 45 W M M [24 years] HO Adolphia [Adams] Wright 49 W F M 2 children 1 living. Earle W. Wright 9 [adopted son, buried 1939 beside Millie Ann in Landrum Cem.] --------------------------------------------- [and next door or nearby] Emma [Adams] Fisher 33[?] W F Widow [W J Fisher fell from train and killed 8 /1891] Harry Fisher 15 Mamie Fisher 12 Hector Fisher 10 -------------------- W J and Emma Fisher [ she d. 4/1904] are buried in Gowensville Baptist Cem in Greenville, SC with another Daughter Daisie, 1887-1889/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In 1910 Census Bettie Adams 50 [still lives in her house and with her are ] Mamie Fisher 20 niece Hector Fisher 18 nephew ------------------------ And next door Bettie Adams died apparently in 1913 as her property went through probate then with my Grandpa, John Q Adams as executor I think.
