I am trying to learn more about the descendants of Thomas and Joanna (KEYES) KIDDER of Chelmsford and Westford, MA, in the early 1700's. They had 5 sons; 2 remained in the Westford area and 3 went north to help found New Ipswich, NH. Their oldest, Thomas "Cornet" KIDDER and his wife, Elizabeth WHEELER, had 2 daughters (a son died young). Elizabeth KIDDER, b1745, married 1) Zacheus GREEN, and they had about 10 children and lived in Carlisle, MA. (Elizabeth marr. 2) Frederick BLOOD (prob. around 1805) Sarah KIDDER, b1761, married Lt. Samuel ADAMS, Jr., b 1747 Chelmsford, probably the son of Samuel and Esther (EMERSON) ADAMS. They married in 1780 in Chelmsford, and had 5 children, a son, Samuel, b1781, then Sally, Mary, John, Lucy. That information is from "the KIDDER book." But, other books say that Lt. Samuel ADAMS had a first wife, Thankful CHAMBERLAIN / CHAMBERLIN, who he married in 1770 in Chelmsford. The LDS site has one child for this couple: Patty or Martha ADAMS, b1771. I would like to know if there is additional information on the 2 wives of Lt. Samuel ADAMS. If there is, I would like to add it to the update of the 1941 KIDDER book which is being prepared.
