"Smith" Adams was Thomas Albert Smith Adams, known as T.A.S. to many and as "Smith" to friends and family. T.A.S. was a scholar-educator, minister of the Gospel, author, with many other accomplishments in his short life, that endeared him to the Adams Family of his birth in the Salem Community, Noxubee Co., MS, and to many others in the Southeast. He's still larger than life, as Uncle T.A.S." to the many descendants of Smith's parents, Abraham and Nancy Gooch Morgan Adams (including me).
