This is my reply on the Adams Rootsweb List in response to your posting. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your quest. "Smith" Adams was Thomas Albert Smith Adams, known as T.A.S. to many and as "Smith" to friends and family. T.A.S. was a scholar-educator, minister of the Gospel, author, with many other accomplishments in his short life, that endeared him to the Adams Family of his birth in the Salem Community, Noxubee Co., MS, and to many others in the Southeast. He's still larger than life, as Uncle T.A.S." to the many descendants of Smith's parents, Abraham and Nancy Gooch Morgan Adams (including me). Contact me directly, and I'll be glad to share more of what I've learned. Barbara McDaniel Ray Atlanta, GA
