England 1790. She married JOHN ELLIS SR (b. 1789 Kent). They lived in the London area, where their son, JOHN JR, was b. 1819. In 1826, the family emigrated to New York, USA. They had these children: America 6 Jane 11 John 8 Robert 9 Thomas 5 William 13 The family settled first in Schenectady, then Saratoga, where my gggrandfather JABEZ STEPHEN ELLIS was b. 1830, and his sister ANN ELLIS TOMLINSON , then Chautauqua, where son Robert married Rowena Swetland and settled in Sherman. In 1842, the rest of the family moved on to Grant, Wisconsin. Some are found on the 1850 Beetown census. Throughout the 1850s-1870s, son John and wife Louisa Rachel Carpenter returned to New York.
