Mable would have been adopted by the Mills family in the late 1800's and they moved to South Dakota in the 1890's. Am searching for any information on her or her son, I believe his name to be Howard. (not sure though). These two were later divorced and she remarried someone else. Are these people in your family? I have some old family photo's with Mable as a young girl in them , also have her son in one of them too. Thanks in advance for any info you may have.
