Hi, I am new to the group. I am looking for info on Jessie Love ADAMS born 1875 in Headville, Kansas. Her parents are Alexander ADAMS born 12 Oct 1834 in Portland, Indiana; died 18 Jan 1911 in Monte Vista, Colorado; and Louisa Jane SPURGEON born 16 Feb 1840 in West Virginia; died 21 Aug 1940 in Denver, Colorado. She married Benjamin Joseph MITCHELL on June 5, 1891 in Colorado. Ben was sent to prison and his mother came to help take care of their children. Rumor has it that Jessie didn't want to take orders from her mother-in-law, and so she left the family, never to be heard from again. another rumor said she went to Utah with a morman, but there were no names or places. I would love to know what happened to her. I am also looking for Alexander's parents. He was in the Civil War in Co. F. 64th Kansas Cav.. He is buried in the Homelake cemetery in Monte Vista.
