I too have an ancestor name Rachael. She had a son named George W. Adams who was born about 1830 and in 1880 was on the census for Rockbridge County, Lexington, Va. He was my Great Grandfather. Does this sound close? Oh, Rachael was previously married to a man named Smith, and the name of Rachel or Rachael Smith is all I've found so far. Let me know. I could not find any other info on George, William or Rachael in Virginia....so I'm going to search in New York. Jay
