I also do not know when he came to America. It could have been as a child with his famiy, or it could have been as a young man, single or married. Both he and his wife Sarah were born in Ireland, and again, I don't know if they met here and married or came over together. Your time frame of Elijah interests me as he could be a brother or other relative. My Adams seem to have taken several routes, some into the Carolinas, and my James Adams went west.
