Pat Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mr. Adams, who died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, was born Nov. 22, 1939, in Limestone County to Albert Adams and Lillie Mae Adams. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, Secretary for Masonic Lodge #16 in Athens, and was past Potentate of the Cahaba Shrine. He was also a member of the York & Scottish Rite, of the R.O.J. Court No. 175, of the V.F.W., and of the North Alabama Ultra Lite Airplane Association. Mr Adams was owner of Mutt’s Well Drilling Co. Survivors include his wife , Deborah Adams; one daughter, Barbara Adams Jones of Madison, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Hope Sutton and Leslee Davis, both of Athens; his mother, Lillie Mae Adams of Athens; brother, Marshall Adams of Athens; three sisters, Marvelene Wright of Athens, Maurice Collins of Tifton, Ga., and Margaret Ann Tennison of Albany, Ga.; grandchildren, Adam Jones and Andrea Jones, both of Madison, Ga., and Landon Laxson of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
