Doyle, I am looking for the parents and siblings of JOHN ADAMS born 1802 VA, married NANCY BELL, born 1802 KY. Believe them to have lived next to each other in Pulaski Co. KY. Believe JOHN to be the son of HUGH ADAMS born abt 1775 VA, married? (May not have been married, but another story) to ELEANOR ELLETT. One problem, another genealogist has JOHN 1802 married to a JANE HORTON 1843.(Their is a marriage contract for two people by that name in Pulaski Co. KY in 1843, but after much research I believe he is the wrong JOHN ADAMS.) JOHN AND NANCY'S children: James H. b abt 1828 Hugh Calvin b abt 1829 d 1865 William Riley b 1831 d 1898 John M. /Quincey, b 1835 d 1893 Ancil Monroe b 1838 d 1900 Sarah Jane b 1838 (Ancil's Twin HUGH AND ELEANOR'S children: Ancel James m Malinda Jenkins Nerigh Rebecca b 1800 John Adams b 1802 Mariah b 1809 m John M. Humphrey 1836 William b 1811 m. Catherine Spencer Rachel b 1812 d 1885 m William Sales 1840 Hugh b 1815 I know JOHN b 1802 VA was born in that part of VA that became WVA between 1860 and 1870. I have all the family on down from JOHN AND NANCY. JOHN AND NANCY were married in Monroe Co. IN in 1826 and lived there all their married lives. HUGH lived awhile next to NANCY BELL'S mother RACHEL. HUGH and some of his family moved on to Pulaski Co. KY If you have any information on this family or possible connections I would appreciate hearing from you.
