I am looking for the parents and siblings of JOHN ADAMS b 1802 VA, married NANCY BELL b 1802 KY. They married in 1826 in Monroe Co. IN. I believe JOHN ADAMS parents to be HUGH ADAMS b. abt 1775 in VA and ELEANOR ELLETT. JOHN and NANCY BELL'S CHILDREN: JAMES H.b abt 1828, HUGH CALVIN b abt 1829, died in Civil War, WILLIAM RILEY, b 1831, JOHN M./QUICNY b 1835, FRANCIS MARION B 1837, ANCIL MONROE b 1838, and his twin sister, SARAH JANE b 1838. I have much on the family on down from JOHN and NANCY BELL ADAMS, but proving the attachment to HUGH & ELEANOR ADAMS, due to the wrong wife being attached I am interested in this family, as many of the dates correlate with my family and the names are repeated in my own ADAMS line. I wonder if you Hugh Adams (ca 1775, VA) could be a brother to my John Adams-1 (1765, VA)??? This is my brick wall! My line then shows up John Adams-1 (1765, VA in Belmont Co., OH (1798-1850); his son George Adams-2 (1798, VA) Washington Co., OH/Monroe Co., OH (1836-1884); his son Seth Adams-3 (1823, OH) Washington Co., OH, WV (Wood Co/ Pleasants Co/Ritchie Co) his son Harvey H. Adams (1844-1926) who lived in Monroe Co., OH, Ritchie Co., WV) Any help would be appreciated.
