First Lieutenant Michael R. Adams, 24, of Seattle, Wash., died March 16, in Al Asad, Iraq, when the barrel of the .50 caliber weapon mounted on his tank struck him. Lt. Adams was a member of the 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colo. The incident is under investigation.
