I am looking for a James Adams who was born circa 1830. He had a brother named Richard who was four or five years younger. Do not know anymore about the family except that he turned up in 1850 census in southern Illinois and died in the Civil War in TN. Does any of this fit what you already know? Sure would like further info as we have been searching for him and his family for 20 years now. Thanks, Renee

I had some Adams in White Co. IL which is very close to the southern border of IL and KY. They came out of S.C. I have 2 James, but not the dates you suggest. I have no Richards. Do you have any other names or wives?
