I have Edward marrying Lydia ROCKWOOD who was my 8th gr grand aunt - I notice that you have him married to LYDIA PENMAN ROCKWOOD - was PENMAN a middle name for her - or what? They came on ships and many were Capt, Ensign, Lt. on ships trading from Massachusetts. He married Lydia Penman Rockwood, as death was frequent there, he also married Abigail Craft and Sarah Taylor. He also was born in Barton, St. David, Somerset, England which is in Cornish speaking area of the oldest settled area of England near Bristol. There were Tin and Pottery making industries there and still are. Ap means son of in Cornish as well as Welsh.
