She was born in Paulding County in Ohio. Her father was Emery Adams, her grandfather was Alton Adams who left Ohio in the late 1880;s for Ok., Kansas and finally Grant Cloud Arkansas. Alton may have served in the Civil War but I have not verified that he is the correct Alton that I have a record for. Alton's father was John W or A Adams was born around1825 in Ohio and died between 1860 and 1870 he also may have served in the Civil War. It seems that I have reached a dead end here, I am looking for some connection that the decendants of Pres. John Adams actually moved here. Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
