V. Phillips of Little River, Ala., celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Wednesday at their home. Mrs. Phillips is 72 years of age and Mr. Phillips is 73. All their friends and relatives were invited to enjoy the occasion. They are the parents of 10 children, eight living and two deceased. They are: W. V. Phillips, J. W. Phillips, C. D. Phillips, Henson Phillips, Mrs. Charles Phillips and Mrs. Webb Boone, all of Little River, Ala., Mrs. Minnie Wilson of Perdido, Ala., and Mrs. Marion H. Gates of Mobile. They have 29 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Out-of-town guests were: Mrs. Dona White, her son and grandson and Mr. and Mrs. Armond Adams of Monroeville, Ala., Mrs. Alice Wright and son, J.C., and Mrs. Georgia Parrish, all of Perdido. Mrs. Lee Morillon of Uriah, her daughter, Mrs. Lillian Lambert, and James Lee Lambert, also of Uriah. Dinner was served outside picnic fashion to more than 50 guests.
