He did, I believe, arrive in the Frankfort area via the Kentucky river (though I am not sure how one navigates a flatboat up stream). And I have record of him acquiring 50 acres in Old Bridgeport Ky around late 1797 early 1798. I believe we was married twice. There is old family correspondence that mentions that Agnes "Nancy" Culbertson was his 2nd wife. And I have good documentation on this union (and my ties to it). But I have yet to find any evidence of the first wife. And I am doubtful that he is descendant of Elihu but he could be. He was born in 1768/69 as far as I can tell.
