I just asked for some assistance with research from the Mid Continent Library. Apparently there is a 2008 publications of Ray Co MO deaths from Feb 18, 1843 to dec 27, 1894. I keep hoping to find a death date for our James. Family lore says it was about 1848, but we don't even know where he was buried. If we can find out if he is related to other Adams at least that would give us something. Talk about frustrating!
